Reiki
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese holistic, light-touch, energy-based modality. It works as a supportive mechanism for the body by helping to restore the natural flow of ki (life force energy) throughout the system. This rebalancing can enhance and accelerate the body’s innate ability to heal itself.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner uses a series of gentle hand positions, either directly on or just above the body, allowing energy to flow through them. The client’s body intuitively draws in the amount of energy it needs. While the simplicity of Reiki may raise skepticism for some, many clients find that after experiencing a session, they return for the profound sense of relaxation, clarity, and renewal it provides. Reiki is simple, yet produces measurable results—it is power, light, and love.

Reiki may help relieve stress and anxiety, muscle and arthritic pain, edema, headaches, digestive concerns, and more.
Research indicates that Reiki is becoming increasingly accepted within Western medicine, including cancer clinics, as a complementary approach to easing stress and trauma associated with chemotherapy.
Following a session, clients are encouraged to rest for approximately 15 minutes and hydrate with a glass of water. Some individuals may feel lightheaded, so it is important to move slowly and take your time—there is no need to rush.
